For pilots in Canada and the UK, each client has an Invoice Currency (on the client's form, next to Country). New clients start in your default currency from Country & Tax Details.
How it flows
- A new trip or expense report bills in its client's currency. The form shows "Billed in USD" (for example) under the rates.
- Day rates, per diem, mileage and receipts on that trip are all in that currency.
- The invoice is in the trip's currency, and its total shows the code: TOTAL DUE (USD).
- One invoice has one currency, so trips in different currencies need separate invoices. Add another trip only lists trips in the same currency.
Changing a client's currency
Change Invoice Currency on the client. Trips you create after that use the new currency; existing trips keep theirs. Moving an invoiced trip to a client in another currency means voiding its invoice first.
Exchange rates
CrewRoo doesn't convert amounts. A receipt in a different currency from its trip is converted by you, from your card statement. See Receipts in another currency.
Your dashboard's Outstanding shows each currency separately — they're never added together.
